2017 Alberta Sport Leadership Conference wrap up

On behalf of the Alberta Sport Connection we would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the overall success of the 2017 Alberta Sport Leadership Conference.

We appreciated all of the delegates that took the time away from their organizations and their families to attend and have the opportunity to learn, network and collaborate with the sport community.

To the Conference Advisory Committee, all of the Conference Presenters, our Host and ASC Chair Andrew Ference, our Awards Banquet Master of Ceremonies; Gilmore Junio and to Mark Tewksbury who hosted the Olympic and Paralympic panel on Saturday a sincere thank you from the Conference Organizing Committee.

Congratulations to all of the award recipients and their families along with the individuals representing their provincial sport organizations and event hosts that were recognized for their contributions to the Alberta Sport System.

The Alberta Sport Connection looks forward to planning and hosting future Alberta Sport Leadership Conferences. Stay tuned for more information on dates and details in the months to follow.

Alberta Sport Leadership Conference Registration Fee to Increase After Monday, April 17, 2017

Registration Fees for the 2017 Alberta Sport Leadership Conference will increase from $300.00 to $375.00 after Monday, April 17th.

  • Saturday, April 27 – Plenary Sessions, Concurrent Workshops and the Celebrating Sport in Alberta Closing Luncheon featuring Mark Tewksbury absportleadershipconference.ca/speaker/mark-tewksbury/ as the host along with Alberta Summer Olympians and Paralympian’s from the 2016 Rio Games.

The theme of this year’s Conference is Celebrating Sport in Alberta and the Conference Program has been designed around the following elements of Quality Sport ”which is led by Qualified Coaches, is delivered in a Safe and Ethical manner, is administered by sport organizations who are aiming to achieve Organizational Excellence, is Inclusive and Accessible, and reflects principles of long-term Athlete Development. 

 

The 2017 Alberta Sport Leadership Conference will help shape and set the stage for future priorities within the Sport Development area for the Alberta Sport Connection moving forward.
