Child Sexual Abuse – Awareness and Education in Sport
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection, a national charity that works to reduce the incidence of child sexual abuse and exploitation, will provide an overview of their organization, the work they are doing in sport, the scope of the problem of sexual abuse, and highlight tools available for sport to help mitigate risk.

This session will provide a brief summary on the current Canadian sport landscape as well as challenges at the International level. Participants will be provided with tangible tools and resources to help increase their knowledge and awareness.
Join representatives from the Canadian Sport Institute – Calgary, Coaching Association of Canada and the Alberta Sport Connection as they lead a facilitated discussion on the challenges and opportunities with the National Coaching Certification Program here in Alberta.
