An effective safe sporting environment program and framework recognizes that everyone has a role and responsibility to ensure both the safety and development of your athletes or participants.
This session will focus on sharing best practices, policies and guiding principles organizations need to put in place to support safe places for people to fully enjoy the sport or services you provide.
Participants to the session will come away with an understanding of: how formal guiding principles form the foundation for inclusion and safe places in your programs and services; what a national framework for safe sport looks like; and best practices that have been implemented at the provincial level by Swim Alberta to provide athletes an environment that is free from abuse and harassment.
