Blair McIntosh

Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance

With over 30 years of experience in the Canadian amateur sport system, Blair McIntosh is the  Director of Sport for Special Olympics Canada coming from the Sport Alliance of Ontario where he was the CEO since December 2012.   Just prior to becoming CEO of the Sport Alliance Ontario, Blair was the Director, Sport at the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games responsible for the development and execution of the strategies and plans within the TO2015 sport function.  Blair’s previous roles have included the Director of Games with the Sport Alliance of Ontario;  several years with the Sport Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation, where he progressed through several leadership positions;  and as the Director, Sport Tourism with the City of London, Ontario.

Blair was the Chef de Mission for Canada at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver/Whistler and a member of the Mission Staffs for Canada at the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games.  He has been the Chef de Mission for Team Ontario at seven Canada Games.

He sits as a Board member for the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance and served for 10 years as a member of the Canada Games Sport Committee.   From 1996-98 Blair was a member of the Special Olympics Canada National Games Sub-Committee and was the Provincial Government representative to the 1997 Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Toronto/Collingwood.
