Georgia leads the digital team at the Canadian Olympic Committee and is responsible for the fan experience across all digital and social properties.
Her portfolio includes Team Canada’s digital content, properties, analytics, innovation projects and platform partnerships. Her and her team saw exponential growth and engagement within all Canadian Olympic Team channels during Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016. They won many awards for their responsive site (Olympic.ca), and Sochi brand campaign centered around the official hashtag, #WeAreWinter, which was the most used globally after #Sochi2014. On the road to Rio 2016, she lead the creation of the Canadian Olympic Club(OlympicClub.ca), a next generation digital fan club – driven by social login and gamification. It’s the first of its kind for any national Olympic Team, and industry leading by any pro sport standard. In her former life, prior to nerding out behind a screen 24/7, she competed on Canada’s National Team for eight years and skated her way to a world bronze medal. Now, she spends her time staring at a tiny screen, travelling and being one of the Blue Jays’ biggest supporters.
