Originally from Airdrie, Alberta, Reid was exposed to a number of sports growing up.
His passion for sport led him to the University of Saskatchewan where he earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology, Sport & Leisure Management, while playing volleyball for the Huskies. In his current role, Reid manages the Alberta Sport Development Centre – Calgary Region focusing on delivering sport science and sport medicine services to Alberta’s emerging athletes and coaches. Prior to this, Reid worked in varies roles within amateur sport including Dinos Athletics at the University of Calgary and the Alberta Volleyball Association.
Reid continues to be active participating in as many sports as possible including squash, golf, tennis and skiing as well as coaching various teams within community sport. Reid currently lives in Calgary with his wife, Erin and two children, Taylor & Rylie.
